Privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
OnezVPN is built by Onez Codes. This policy explains what this app stores on your device and what it does not.
What stays on the device
- Guest or account status, favorites, recents, and VPN preferences.
- Optional crash and usage toggles. They are stored locally until a backend is connected.
- Public IP checks go to a third-party lookup (api.ipify.org) only when you refresh that card.
What the app sends to OnezVPN
- A random install ID (not a hardware identifier), your iPhone model, iOS and app version, and the country your connection comes from. This lets us count devices, including guests, and keep the service running. Your IP address is not stored with it.
- While connected: when you connect and disconnect, which server and protocol you use, and how much data passes through the tunnel. Not which sites you visit.
What the VPN server sees
- Your traffic passes through the server you connect to. The server does not keep a record of the sites you visit (access logging is off).
- The server keeps short-lived service logs for troubleshooting. These can include your IP address and connection times.
- We do not run an analytics backend in this version.
Accounts
If you create an account, your email, username, and a hashed password (never the password itself) are stored on our server so you can sign in. Ask us at the address below to delete your account.
Speed test
The speed test downloads and uploads test data via speed.cloudflare.com (Cloudflare) when you run it.
